E. B. White (1899 – 1985) was an American author best-known for his children books Charlotte’s Web and Stuart Little.  He also edited and updated William Strunk’s Elements of Style.

This week’s text, Once More to the Lake (1941), is White’s essay about his summer vacations to a lake in Maine.  In it, he compares revisiting the lake as an adult to when he was a child in 1904.
