Sophomore Action Plan: Spring

Continue your action plan from last semester.  Make adjustments by considering your fall performance.  Are you spending enough time studying for your exams?  If not, try beginning your study routine for each exam a few days earlier.  Your junior year is when you will take college admission tests.  So, start preparing for them by getting an SAT or ACT study guide.  Try to spend at least ½ hour twice per week preparing for these exams.

This action plan will help you stay on top of your studies:

  1. Evaluate your performance last semester and make adjustments to your study routine.
  2. Begin preparation for the SAT or ACT exams.
  3. Continue with your independent reading program.  Try to read at least 30 minutes each day.

Start your spring reading with these great books—

The Alchemist, by Paul Coelho

Cat’s Cradle, by Kurt Vonnegut

To Destroy You Is No Loss: The Odyssey of a Cambodian Family, by Joan D. Criddle and Teeda Butt Mam

The Sixteenth Round: From Number 1 Contender to #45472, by Rubin Carter
